Processing: slight noise reduction (9db) using izotope rx7, high pass filter to remove unwanted rumble (cubase 7. 5), made into a loop.

I sampled the bell tree at our church. After seeing how much the instrument costs at the music store, i opted to not buy one. The long version of this moves from left to right, and has the single sample repeat twice. So it begins on the left, has a delayed start in the center, then finally a third repeat starts on the right. Add liberal amounts of reverb, to taste. I stood quite sheltered from the wind, above me the rustling trees from the breeze that was just blowing. In the distance a dog was barking. Nice stereo effect :-). The recording is edited. Swiss forest, sunny winter morning, on a small mountain. The cracks and other falls are due to the snow that melt in the sun and fell from the top of the trees. It was beautiful. Recorded in stereo with h5n, and processed a little bit to reduce the wind.

It's a recording of a man operating a chainsaw in a forest near an underground repair station. I've been biking through the forest whe i heard the chainsaw, so i stopped and recorded 7 minutes of him cutting off branches, tembers and walking around a bit. You can heat the chainsaw, natural forest reverb, sometimes a plane flying by or an undergroud train. The recording was made from around 20~30 meters from the sound source. Recorded with a zoom h2 (rear mics, hi gain, 96/24). Originally a 96khz / 24-bit wav file. Converted to flac using audacity.
